Originally from Alabama, I have lived as a Mississippi “transplant” for almost 30 years. I moved to Oxford in 2002, where I became the director of the Baptist Student Union at Ole Miss. I hold degrees from the University of West Alabama (B. S.—Biology), New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (M. Div.—Christian Education), and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (Ed. D.—Leadership). My wife and I have four wonderful children, and in all that we do we want to bring glory to God in our lives and work.
I want to see college students discover who they are in Jesus Christ and join Him in His work, whether on our campus, in our community, or around the world. When I’m not busy leading collegiate ministry or engaging in adjunct teaching, I enjoy spending endless hours with my family, watching sports, gardening, fishing, reading, and, occasionally, coin collecting. I love good conversation and a smooth cup of coffee, so I invite you to join me anytime—the first cup is on me!
A Georgia native, I am new to Ole Miss and Oxford culture. I hold degrees from the University of Georgia (Bachelors of Science in Psychology and a minor in Religion) and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (M. Div. Collegiate Ministry). I have served in several churches and on several campuses in various ministry roles. I am married to a wonderful and amazing woman named Sarah. We both desire to know the Lord and to serve Him in all that we do.
My prayer is that students would come know and trust Jesus as their Lord and savior and as Ephesians 3:19 says, “to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.” I would love to get to know you and hang out sometime, come by the BSU anytime and we will make it happen.
I am a native of Oxford and an alumna of Ole Miss and the BSU. I graduated from Ole Miss with Bachelor’s Degrees in Spanish, Psychology, and Social Work. After college, I served as a Journeyman Missionary in Madrid, Spain and served with International World Changers. After graduating from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity in Christian Ministries and Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling, I served from 2012-17 as a pastoral counselor in Durham, North Carolina.
I am currently on staff at North Oxford Baptist Church as Missions and Outreach Strategist and excited to be on staff at the BSU. I enjoy photography, running, traveling, and a good cup of coffee. I have a heart for other cultures and a genuine desire that all people may know the love and mercy of the Lord.
I am a graduate of the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor’s and Master’s of Accountancy, with emphasis in Tax. While attending the University of Mississippi, I was a member of the Ole Miss Baptist Student Union, Alpha Omicron Pi sorority, and the Pride of the South Band. I’m also a graduate of The Spanish Language Institute in San Jose, Costa Rica.
I’m a Certified Public Accountant, and worked for the Mississippi State Tax Commission for 16 years after college. In 2007 my husband and I began serving as missionaries with the International Mission Board (IMB). We spent 10 years with the IMB serving in Peru and Mexico.
I am married to Jeff Holeman, Student and Mission’s pastor at FBC Oxford. I have two children, Haylee and Jackson, who are students at Mississippi College.
